Retired IAS Subodh Agrawal Arrested in Jal Jeevan Mission Corruption Case; ACB Probes ₹960 Crore Tender Irregularities

Following his arrival, Subodh Agrawal was interrogated at the ACB headquarters. A press conference regarding the case was also
at the ACB headquarters, where ACB DG Govind Gupta addressed the media and outlined key aspects of the investigation.
According to the ACB, tenders worth ₹960 crore were allegedly awarded through improper means, with undue benefits extended to select firms. Specifically, Ganpati Tubewell and Shriram Tubewell were among the firms that received these tenders. Authorities indicated that the process was manipulated to favor these entities.
The case has already seen substantial action, with 10 accused previously arrested in connection with the मामले. The गिरफ्तारी of retired IAS Subodh Agrawal in Delhi marks a critical step in expanding the scope of the probe. Additionally, standing warrants have been issued against the remaining three accused, and officials confirmed that property attachments are expected to follow in the coming
days.
Meanwhile, developments also emerged from Jaipuriya Hospital on Thursday. Subodh Agrawal, who is in ACB custody, underwent a medical examination. He was taken to the hospital’s emergency unit, where routine checks were conducted. After the completion of the routine examination, the ACB team departed with him.
The arrest and subsequent proceedings underscore the गंभीर nature of the allegations and signal a tightening legal and administrative crackdown in the Jal Jeevan Mission corruption case, with further action anticipated as the investigation progresses.
